Opening Yoga Journey with Mollie
We begin this training the same way we do all trainings here at Yoga Hive... with class! This 60-minute yoga journey is for you to get yourself settled in the state of yoga, using asana, pranayama and meditation. Grab your mat, a waterbottle, and something to sit on like a cushion or pillow!
Module 2
Orientation and Welcome
In this module, Mollie welcomes you to the training and gives you a "lay of the land" using our manual ¸— so you know exactly what to expect!
Module 3
What is yoga, and why is it good for kids?
Mollie goes through a bit about how we — at Yoga Hive — define yoga, and why practicing yoga is good for kids, including what contraindications to watch out for.
Module 4
Mindfulness and Meditation
Mollie goes through mindfulness and meditation — why it's good for us as teachers, and then how that impacts our ability to give back to our students. She walks you through a short meditation that you will use daily throughout this program!
Day 1 Homework
Great work — you've made it through day 1 of Kids Yoga Training! Your homework before tomorrow is just one thing:
It's imperative that you train your mind to find stillness in order to best receive these teachings! Whether you're doing this over the course of 4 days, or a month or longer, try to maintain at least 10 minutes of meditation daily! We will discuss hangups and tips tomorrow morning.
